Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts National Eligibility Test on behalf of University Grant’s Commission (UGC) twice in a year. This year also, CBSE had conducted UGC National Eligibility Test on 22nd January 2017. National Eligibility Test which is also known as NET is conducted for JRF and eligibility for assistant professor. Every year, Millions of applicants apply for UGC National Eligibility Test from various subjects.
UGC NET Exam Centers 2017
The University Grants Commission (UGC) of India is a legal body set up by the Indian Union government. It provides recognition to universities in India and disburses funds to such recognized universities and colleges. Prof. Ved Prakash is the incumbent Chairman of UGC, India. Its headquarters is in New Delhi, and six regional centers in Pune, Bhopal, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Guwahati and Bangalore. It was an advisory committee of the British government. The committee was in existence from 1919 until 1989.
The Central Board of Secondary Education on Behalf of UGC conducts National Eligibility Test Twice in a year viz June (July) & December (January) month. UGC NET 2017 online form filling process will commence in the month of April 2017. National Eligibility Test which is commonly conducted for the eligibility of Indian nationals for the post of Assistant Professor & Junior Research Fellowship both in the universities and colleges across the country.

On behalf of UGC, the Central Board of Secondary Education announces holding of the National Eligibility Test (NET) in the month of July 2017 for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian universities and colleges. CBSE will conduct National Eligibility Test in 83 subjects at 88 selected NET Examination Cities spread across the India.
